Sudley House has changed

We have created:
- Improved visitor access
- A lift to the upper floor
- Better visitor facilities
- Improved conditions for our works of art
Improvements have included the following new displays and galleries:
- a new ground floor introductory display telling the visitor about the fascinating history of the house
- a new display of dolls, toys and a doll’s house with an area for activities for children including replica toys and interactives
- a display area for items selected from our collection of historic costume and fashion
- a refurbished learning area for groups
- a new temporary exhibition gallery on the first floor
The exterior of the red sandstone building has been repaired and redecorated, and a new conservation-standard heating system has been installed.
There is lots more information on the changes, and more information about each of the period rooms and the picture collection on the Sudley House website.
