We reserve the right to charge a fee to cover the expense to National Museums Liverpool (eg copying and postage), although we will waive this where the cost to us is less than about £10.
Under the Act, fees may be charged and are calculated proportionate to the time spent locating or copying records, the cost of producing copies for you and any other actual costs we have to incur.
If it will take us 2.5 person-days or more to deal with your request, we have the right to refuse or to request reimbursement of the full cost. Data Protection Act subject access requests will continue to incur a £10 charge.
If a fee is required we will let you know how much it is and the enquiry will be answered within 20 working days from receipt of the fee.
