An economic impact study conducted by the London School of Economics in 2005. The report investigates National Museums Liverpool’s role within the cultural and economic life of Liverpool and the North West region, as well as the contribution that the organisation is making to the city's renaissance.
The annual report, which includes reports against targets in the Funding Agreement, is available on this website or on request from the Director's Office. Earlier reports are also available from the Director's Office. Each year's report will usually be available six months after the end of the reporting period (April-March).

Triennial reviews for National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside (the former name for National Museums Liverpool) cover the following periods, starting from 1986 when the organisation was formed. Copies are available to view by contacting the Marketing and Communications department or in the National Library.
From 2002 the triennial review was superseded by an annual review, as above.
These statistics can be found in the annual report, as part of the Funding Agreement return (see above). Statistics are prepared on a monthly basis and are available approximately one month after the end of the relevant month.
The HM Customs & Excise National Museum is a unique partnership between National Museums Liverpool and HM Revenue and Customs, as Customs and Excise is now known.
