Description
Quentin Blake and John Yeoman: 50 Years of Children's Books is the first exhibition to celebrate illustrator Blake's decades-long partnership with the author. It opens at the Lady Lever Art Gallery this autumn, running from 19 October until 3 March 2019, and will feature more than 40 works, including illustrations and books by the two.

Jacqui Hallum wins the John Moores Painting Prize 2018

Description
The Walker Art Gallery has announced the winner of the John Moores Painting Prize 2018: artist Jacqui Hallum with her painting King and Queen of Wands (2017). Hallum is the 30th winner of the £25,000 Prize, held biennially, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.

Description
An exhibition of paintings by Sean Scully, renowned globally as the master of post-minimalist abstraction, will be held at Liverpool's Walker Art Gallery from 14 July to 14 October 2018. Sean Scully:1970 opens in line with Liverpool Biennial and the John Moores Painting Prize, in which Scully was a prize winner in 1972 and 1974.

National Museums Liverpool Breaks Visitor Record
Description
National Museums Liverpool has achieved its highest annual visitor figure ever in 2017/18 across its eight venues. It welcomed 3,305,671 visitors in a year which also saw the opening of its China's First Emperor and the Terracotta Warriors exhibition at World Museum.
