Deep Pockets and Dirty Faces

Young people from the charity the  Together Trust have been studying the history of the charity through a project entitled Deep Pockets and Dirty Faces.

The project has been looking in particular at the history of child emigration through the stories of children who left England for Canada between 1872 and 1914. A whole series of work has been completed including a film, audio story, performances, exhibitions and artwork. The young people have also done research into Liverpool, where some of these children were born, and where the emigration parties set sail from.
