Secretary to the Board of Trustees
Claire Harvey began working at National Museums Liverpool in 1996 in a front-of-house role with NML Trading Ltd and worked at the Walker Art Gallery, Merseyside Maritime Museum, and the company's head office.
In 2000 she joined the Director's Office team as an Executive Officer and assisted the then Secretary to the Board in all aspects of their work.
Upon the appointment of David Fleming as Director in 2001, Claire was appointed as his Principal Assistant, and continued in that role for a period of 6 years.
In 2007 Claire was appointed to the position of Secretary to the Board and is responsible for all matters relating to the Board of Trustees. Claire oversees Trustee appointments, Trustee training and the servicing of Board and Committee meetings. In her role she is also responsible for National Museums Liverpool's Corporate Governance and legislative compliance, legal claims and contract advice. She is responsible for the production of National Museums Liverpool's Funding Agreement with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), the Strategic Plan and is the Data Protection Officer and Freedom of Information Officer for the organisation.
Claire also retains a link with NML Trading Ltd, as she is the registered Company Secretary, and responsible for the company's Annual Return to Companies House and the submission of the Annual Accounts.
