Terms and conditions
The conditions laid out below apply to all orders and reproductions of National Museum Liverpool (NML) images.
The 'applicant' means any person who negotiates the purchase, hire or use of an NML image.
'To reproduce 'or 'reproduction' means any form of copying of the whole or part of an NML image by any means including electronic.
Permission for Reproduction
Reproduction permission is only granted if the image is supplied by NML.
Supply of an image does not carry the right to reproduce.
Applications should be made in writing on an NML reproduction form only.
Details of current charges may be discussed on request before submitting a form. Permission is only valid on form completion and payment.
Images must be credited to © National Museums Liverpool followed by the name of the venue where the particular item is held.
In addition the name of the artist, photographer or originator may be required. Omission of the credit line may result in surcharge or withdrawal of permission.
Permission is limited to the named applicant and use stated on the form and a new application must be made for additional use or change of applicant.
Images may not be cropped or altered without prior approval.
A complimentary copy of any printed use should be supplied free of charge.
For images under artist/estate copyright, permission must be obtained by the applicant before reproduction. NML reserve the right not to supply an image.
NML accept without prejudice no liability or loss or damage suffered by the applicant or any third party arising from the reproduction of any image or caption.
Changes to terms and conditions
NML reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any time but no changes will affect a transaction once entered in to.
