About the traineeship project
The Heritage Lottery Fund awarded £350,700 to National Museums Liverpool and the North West Federation (NWFED) museums group to run a Positive Action Training project for people from a black or ethnic minority background or who have a disability. The aim of the project is to improve diversity within the heritage workforce by offering new accredited training opportunities at four venues across the North West.
The North West of England is a recognised skill shortage area and the project gives 12 trainees a chance to learn about audience development as well as training existing staff to become level three assessors.
