We’re looking for two people with knowledge and understanding of key HR activities to join our team to work in partnership with NML and NMLTrading managers in delivering a comprehensive HR service in a fast paced, challenging environment, which is in the process of significant change.

Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards the qualification, the successful candidates will be responsible for advising and supporting staff and managers in all areas of HR.

You will have proven experience of working within a HR environment, with knowledge of best practice and relevant employment law and its application to organisational policy and procedures. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to motivate, persuade and influence a wide range of people. Organisational skills, attention to detail and an ability to prioritise are essential.

This position represents an opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of HR issues, to develop your skill base and play a major role in helping NML to maintain its position as one of the world’s leading museum services.

Marketing Officer (maternity cover)

Maternity cover, fixed term until 30 June 2014 or when the postholder returns, whichever is the sooner

Hours: 37 hours per week

An opportunity has arisen for the role of Marketing Officer within National Museums Liverpool’s award-winning Marketing and Communications department.

The key purpose of the post is to promote National Museums Liverpool through marketing campaigns, both corporately and for specific exhibitions and events.

Your role will be to increase visits to our museums and galleries, broaden access and raise positive awareness of the organisation on a local, regional, national and international level.

Working closely with Marketing and Communications colleagues, you will deliver comprehensive campaigns across eight venues.

The successful candidate will have experience of devising and delivering successful and creative marketing campaigns, working within a budget and managing the design and print production process. A self starter with a problem-solving approach, you will enjoy working as part of a team and be skilled at handling multiple projects.
