Meet the conservators
Caring for over 4 million objects in National Museums Liverpool's collections is quite a challenge for the conservation team.
The conserved objects themselves are displayed in our museums and galleries. However most of the conservator's investigation, conservation and preservation work takes place behind the scenes in studios, laboratories and stores.
Through National Museums Liverpool's Conservation In View programme, you can arrange to bring your own treasured objects for specialist conservation advice. You can meet conservators and learn about their work in special events and can visit conservation studios during open days.
