Jenkins' grave
A photograph of 2nd Lieutenant Richard Owen Jenkins' grave. At the time of the conflict wooden crosses marked the graves. After the war the cemetery layouts were formalised and headstones put up. 2nd Lieutenant Richard Owen Jenkins, 1st/5th Battalion, King's Liverpool Regiment, was awarded the Military Cross for his actions on 20 September 1917. He died the next day from wounds received in those actions. He was 25.
