Huskisson statue

Sculpture of William Huskisson

This sculpture was made in the late 19th century to stand on William Huskisson’s grave in St James’ Cemetery. The statue shows Huskisson in a classical style, clean shaven and wearing a toga. The statue has suffered heavily from erosion and vandalism. It is covered in a thick black pollution crust and has been partially cleaned using laser cleaning and steam cleaning followed by treatment with poultices.
