Flag it up!

Flag it Up! is a community arts project organised by National Museums Liverpool with support from Liverpool Culture Company. Flag it Up! is part of city-wide events to celebrate Faith in One City 2004.

Local Liverpool communities and museum visitors got involved in the project, creating vibrant and colourful flags which explore the theme of ‘faith’ in its broadest sense.

The groups worked with artists, Itchy Feet, to design their flags - creating images and using key words to illustrate what faith means to them.

Flag it Up! resulted in 30 flags reflecting the faith of a diverse range of local people. The flags will be hoisted and displayed at a number of sites across the city, including grounds at the Museum of Liverpool Life.
