Matchday Memories I have plenty of great matchday memories, but this one was the best ever. When i went to the FA Cup final in 2001, When liverpool played Arsenal. We were getting beat 1-0 and there were about 10 minutes left and i thought to myself what a waste of a journey this was, then we got a corner and Patrick Berger crossed the ball into the box and Michael Owen somehow leant back and struck the ball into the back of the net. ( and we all went wild ) Then there was about two minutes of normal time to play plus what ever was getting added and i was holding my hands in my head worring about whats going top happen next and then next minute Michael Owen was one on one with Martin Keown the Arsenal captain. Owen had Keown twisting and turning then Owen entered the box and struck right footed shot right across David Seamans body, and seaman had no chance of saving it and the ball rolled right into the back of the net and hit the side of the net and we and all the other liverpool fans went wild, everbody was jumping with joy it was a great feeling to beat Arsenal 2-1 in the FA Cup final, what a day it was =, what a great day. | |
