During the summer of 2004 local young people took part in a series of workshops and activities based on the theme of football. The events coincided with National Museums Liverpool's summer exhibitions The Kop's Last Stand and Everton's 80s Heroes.

Tours of Liverpool Football Club
The group at Liverpool Football Club On the 10th August the group had a guided tour of the famous Anfield stadium and Liverpool Football Club's museum. The young people visited the dressing rooms, walked down the players' tunnel and saw the Treble and the four European cups.

Museum of Liverpool Life
In the afternoon we visited the The Kop's Last Stand at the Museum of Liverpool Life and imagined what it would have been like to stand in the Kop.

The visits to LFC and to the museum were then used as inspiration for art workshops led by Sola Arts. The group produced life-size football players and dressed them in kits that incorporated cultural and personal symbols.

Art workshopsSome amazing digital group artwork was produced during these vibrant and energetic workshops. Artwork was captured on camera and manipulted using special graphics software.

Pro Evolution Soccer at the Conservation Centre
On the 14th August the young people were invited to compete in a Playstation Pro Evolution Soccer tournament organised by Business Training Northwest. The tournament took place at the Conservation Centre to celebrate the exhibition Everton's 80s Heroes.

Web workshops
On the final day the young people visited Merseyside Youth Association to take part in a web workshop. Each young person built their own web page to display their artwork and photographs.
