Eye condition: Blind in left eye, macular
degeneration in right eye.
Age: 80
I have always enjoyed doing crafts. I have been known to produce a jumper from raw wool. As time moved on I ceased embroidery and mainly stuck to silk painting. About two years ago I lost sight in my left eye and had reduced sight in the right. I gave up art work.
About three months ago, I heard about the LVSB art class and am now enjoying trying to produce art works again.

I started drawing at school but didn't do much after that. I was in my late 20s when I met an oil painter at Ashley Centre in Speke and I have been drawing since then.
I like to draw animals and landscapes. I have tried portraits but I'm no good at it.

I started painting about 30 years ago when I went to evening classes with my mum. I gave it up in 1993 because I started to lose my sight.
In 1995 I became registered blind and started with the art class.
I get pleasure from the colour and impressionist style. Starting to paint again has made a great deal of difference to my life.
