Mr Bruce Ferguson 'Our daughter Maureen aged two was always very interested in the statue whenever we took her to Sefton Park, in the late 1950s. She is a mother of two teenage daughters and is now living in York. It was her favourite spot, we lived near Sefton Park and I used to meet my wife and daughter there on my way home from work'.
