My name is Saranda and I’m 13 years old. I’m from Presheva which is by the border of Kosovo and Serbia. I came to Liverpool 3 years ago.

I live here with my parents Ekrem and Nazlije, my three sisters Shqipdona 12, Almedina 10, Irsa 4 and my brother Endrit who is 8. My uncle Mexhid and his wife Jalldeze live next door.

I go to school in Liverpool and am in year 9. Before I came to England I couldn’t speak very much English but I went to junior school for six months where I was taught the English alphabet and my first English words.

I am very happy living in Liverpool. Even though I had never heard of Liverpool before I came here, it now plays a very important role in my life. I love the English system and England itself.
