I came to England because there was a war. Conflict between Kosovo and Serbia began in 1989 and the real war started in 1999 which means that I grew up in an occupied country. Lots of innocent men, women and children lost their lives. NATO bombed Serbia and Kosova on the 24th March and by June peace forces had entered my country.

A lot of Kosovars were forced to leave their homes including me. Some of them went to Albania but me and my family went to Macedonia and stayed there until we came to England.

When we came to Britain we arrived in Leeds and then travelled to Liverpool by coach. That night was the first time in my whole life that we breathed fresh air.

In Liverpool I have met people I will never forget for the rest of my life. They are really genuine, loving and caring. I work a lot with National Museums Liverpool, they are fantastic! I also work with different journalists especially Arabella who has not just helped me with my writing but has become a close friend. I am really lucky to work with these people.

Me writingI love writing, even though it takes me weeks to write something good. I am also interested in the children’s parliament which I hope I will become part of very soon. My parents work on a local allotment.
