Join contemporary Black British artist Kimathi Donkor to view and discuss his work 'UK Diaspora', with a question and answer session with the artist afterwards.

'UK Diaspora' includes ten vibrant collages of objects and images symbolising British involvement in transatlantic slavery. Arranged like a map of Great Britain, it includes portraits of famous participants in the transatlantic slave trade like Queen Elizabeth I and Sir Francis Drake, as well as imagery from the artist's visit to Cape Coast Castle in Ghana.

Part of the Collecting cultures project.

This event is part of our 10th anniversary and Slavery Remembrance Day 2017 event series.
