Collecting cultures spotlight - Kimathi Donko 'UK Diaspora'

Join contemporary British artist Kimathi Donkor to view and discuss his work 'UK Diaspora', with a question and answer sessio with the artist afterwards.

Born in Bournemouth, England, Donkor is of Ghanaian, Anglo-Jewish and Jamaican family heritage, and as a child lived in rural Zambia. His work is focused on re-imagining mythic and legendary encounters across Africa and its global diasporas, principally in painting, but also through drawing, video, assemblage, collage, digital design, performance and installation.

Part of the Collecting cultures project.

This event is part of our 10th anniversary and Slavery Remembrance Day 2017 event series.
