Join artist Hannah Fray to explore printmaking processes and create your own artwork inspired by colours and symbolism in our Life in West Africa gallery. We will be learning about monoprinting and creating prints without a press.
This session is part of the events programme for Lubaina Himid: Meticulous Observations and Naming the Money, which is on display at the Walker Art Gallery until 18 March. During this session you will be able to find out more about our objects and collections as well as the Arts Council Collection National Partners Programme.
Children will also be able to obtain Arts Award Discover as part of this workshop as they take part in hands-on activities, find out about artists and their artwork, and share their discoveries. This workshop is suitable for children age 7-12 accompanied by an adult. Due to the artistic processes and materials used in this session we are not able to accommodate children under 7 years of age.
Places are limited and pre-booking is essential. Please book a place for each child and adult attending on Eventbrite.
This workshop will take place in the Anthony Walker Education Centre at the International Slavery Museum, located on the 3rd floor of the Merseyside Maritime Museum. Please contact ACCSessions@liverpoolmuseums.org.uk for any enquiries about this session.
