Join artist Hannah Fray to learn about basic bookbinding processes and create your own concertina book to take away. You will also be able to fill your book with you own collection of drawings inspired by our Life in West Africa gallery. As part of the session you can find out more about our objects and collections as well as the Arts Council Collection National Partners Programme.

This session is part of the events programme for Lubaina Himid: Meticulous Observations and Naming the Money, which is on display at the Walker Art Gallery until 18 March.

Children will also be able to obtain Arts Award Discover as part of this workshop as they take part in hands-on activities, find out about artists and their artwork, and share their discoveries.

This workshop is suitable for children age 7-12 accompanied by an adult. Due to the artistic processes and materials used in this session we are not able to accommodate children under 7 years of age.

Places are limited and pre-booking is essential. Please book a place for each child and adult attending on Eventbrite.

This workshop will take place in the Anthony Walker Education Centre at the International Slavery Museum, located on the 3rd floor of the Merseyside Maritime Museum. Please contact ACCSessions@liverpoolmuseums.org.uk for any enquiries about this session.

This event is part of the Lubaina Himid exhibition and our Lubaina Himid events and Arts Council Collection event series.
