Capoeira for All CIC are running interactive workshops as well as showcasing a piece of explosive dance theatre exploring the history of slavery like you’ve never seen before.

  • Performance: Shackled Set in modern day and 17th century Brazil, this new piece of explosive dance theatre follows three characters escaping enslavement and their perilous fight for freedom.
  • Workshop 1: Explore We will be exploring the key themes of the play with an interactive workshop that promises to engage and educate. Have your say! Discuss and respond to the themes explored in the play in this audience-led workshop.
  • Workshop 2: Dance Experience a dance workshop with a difference. We will be taking you through three different dance forms from three different periods of time: Afro Dance, Capoeira and Brazilian funk.

Come together with young people from right across Liverpool for this special Black History Month youth event.
