African Dance with Agida African Arts

Join International Slavery Museum for this exciting dance workshop led by Karim Mbaye, an urban Griot from Senegal, who plays and teaches African drumming and dance throughout the UK.

Senegal has a rich dance and drum tradition called ‘sabar’, setting it apart from other parts of West Africa. Sabar is the vibrant drum and dance of the Wolof people of Senegal, West Africa.

The workshop will start with a warm-up, followed by step by step choreography to the beat of sabar drum rhythms.

This workshop is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Book your free place for this workshop on Eventbrite.

This event is part of our Black History Month and Half term event series.
