These houses are built from bricks but mine was made from river mud. Mud does not last so there are no houses left from my time. You know much more about ancient Egyptian pyramids and temples because they were made of stone and lasted longer
Mud bricks were made of Nile mud, a mixture of clay and sand. Sometimes bits of straw or animal droppings were added. This was mixed with water, put into brick-shaped moulds and left to dry.
