Description: Bowl with wavy edge, the lower part moulded in petal-shaped panels. Inside, a medallion with three boys playing. Border of cash pattern. Outside, four groups of ladies in garden setting, representing the four scholarly pursuits; qin-playing, chess, calligraphy, and painting. In the petals are growing flowers.
Mark of the Chenghua period (1465-1487 AD) but the bowl is of Kangxi date.
