Description: Bowl, one of a pair (to LL 6198), decorated with fishes and aquatic plants in various colours on a fine soft yellow enamel background. In the interior of each is a large fish in green and black on yellow.

Mark of the Chenghua period (1465-1487 AD), but the bowl is of Kangxi date.

Richard Bennett collection; his sale, 1911, purchased by Edgar Gorer for Lever at the assessed valuation of £250 (for a pair; LL 6197 and LL 6198); by whom gifted to the Lady Lever Art Gallery, 1922.
