Description: Jar, known as 'ginger', 'prunus' or 'hawthorn' jar, with oval body, short neck, and cap cover. Design of branches of blossoming prunus alternately ascending and descending on a ground of brilliant blue netted over with a pattern suggesting cracked ice. Dentate border on the shoulder.
Purchased by Lever from James Orrock between 1903 and 1912, gifted to the Lady Lever Art Gallery, 1922.
