Description: Bottle, one of a pair (to LL 6492), with baluster body, and high shoulder, slender neck with bulb, spreading mouth and base. Painted in underglaze blue and enamel colours. On the body, a scene with two suppliants before a great personage in front of a pavilion, at the side of which is a rock and a plantain tree. Oblique sprays of foliage on the neck. Under the lip a band of blossoms in a dotted green ground. Mark of the Chenghua period in six characters, but the bottle is of Kangxi date.
