Description: Vase, one of three (LL 6697, LL 6698 & LL 6699), cylindrical, slightly tapering to base, rounded shoulders, contracted neck and spreading mouth, Painted in famille verte enamels with two large panels of equestrian nobleman and attendants bearing banner on terrace with buildings in background, separated by narrow vertical bands of convolvulus; shagreen band below with foliage medallions reserved in red. Shoulders with band of ju-i heads and coloured scrollwork. On the neck, and base, formal leaves similarly reserved. Empty double ring under the base.
