Description: Bowl, painted in famille rose enamels with rose peonies, flowering plants, and birds in an irregular border of black hexagon diaper, edged with black and gold. Inside is a border of oblique leaves in gold and pink scrolls. Silver band on rim.
Formerly in the Beckford Collection; Sir Trevor Lawrence collection; his sale, Christie’s, 29 May 1916, lot 365, purchased by Frank Partridge for Lever, £17.7; by whom gifted to the Lady Lever Art Gallery, 1922.
