Description: Reverse painting on glass with a mirrored background. Two ladies seated in a garden pavilion, one holding a tea cup, the other a fan, accompanied by another two ladies. In the foreground a maid with a tray, and two peacocks, one spreading its tail. Frame in a Western style, carved and gilt.
Bought from Frank Partridge, 5 March 1918, £20 (for LL 8814, which has been sent to The Hill), gifted to the Lady Lever Art Gallery, 1922. LLAG Invoice file No. 87.
