Description: Reverse painting on glass and watercolour on paper mounted on board, one of a pair (to LL 8815). Lady in a parlour, holding a mirror and arranging her hair with hair ornaments, accompanied by a boy grasping for flowers in a basket. Glass broken. Original English frame, moulded and gilt.
Bought from Frank Partridge, 5 March 1918, £20 (for a pair of Chinese paintings; LL 8815 & LL 8816, which have been sent to The Hill), gifted to the Lady Lever Art Gallery, 1922. LLAG Invoice file No. 87.
