Boudoir scene, behind a partially covered room with a curtain, a young lady in a negligee reclines elegantly on a red lacquer day-bed. View to a garden in the background. Glass broken. Original Chinese frame, carved and gilt.
Bought from Frank Partridge, 5 March 1918, £100 (for the set of four; LL 8817, LL 8818, LL 8819 and LL 8820, which have been sent to The Hill), gifted to the Lady Lever Art Gallery, 1922. LLAG Invoice file No. 87.
