LL 1373

Part of

Wedgwood collection

A selection of objects from our collection of the finest Wedgwood jasperware in the world.

About this object

One of a pair of blue jasper snake handled vases with white jasper sprigged decoration. Wedgwood particularly liked these, and used them on the cover of his catalogue of ornamental ware. In 1792 a vase like this in green would have cost five guineas (£5 and 5 shillings). The companion vase to LL 1373 is LL 1374.
