Vase

LL 1374

About this object

One of a pair of blue jasper snake handled vases with white jasper sprigged decoration. Wedgwood particularly liked these, and used them on the cover of his catalogue of ornamental ware. In 1792 a vase like this in green would have cost five guineas (£5 and 5 shillings) The companion vase to LL 1374 is LL 1373.
