Glass rinser

LL 1388

About this object

A blue jasper wineglass holder with classically inspired white jasper sprigging. The decorative border around the base is in imitation of icicles. The white jasper sprigging would have been pressed into moulds and then applied.
Wineglasses would have hung upside down from the notches in the rim, their bowls in iced water. Guests could help themselves to a clean glass during the dessert service.
