'Landscape with windmill and men ploughing' by an unknown artist

Watercolour, 21.8 x 51.9cm

This is one of two watercolours displayed in the exhibition that were purchased by Lever as genuine David Cox paintings but have since been confirmed as forgeries.

This raises the possibility that the art dealer James Orrock was involved in forging works and that his dealings with Lever were at times less than honest.

It is a Constable composition but is by a different hand.
