National Museums Liverpool blog
We welcome groups of students in post-16 and post-18 education from schools, colleges and universities to all our galleries and museums, whether they are exploring our public galleries with a tutor or taking part in an activity session led by one of our learning staff.
We are offering a growing number of sessions to these students, whether they are studying specific subjects, studying English as a second language, or have special needs. Everything is free of charge.
We offer you, the tutor or teacher, the opportunity to bring your group and study in your own way on any of our galleries. We call these self-guided sessions. In many cases we have background information to help you prepare your visit.
Alternatively, you can book one of our museum/gallery-led sessions in which a member of our staff introduces your students to some of our marvellous objects. This might be a gallery tour, or take place in one of our hands-on centres or off-gallery learning bases.
Our museums and galleries can be busy, so it is essential that you book your visit in advance, giving us as much notice as possible. When you contact us we can give you details of lunch and cloakroom facilities, risk assessments and resource materials, as well as ideas for themed visits between our venues.
