National Museums Liverpool is now an official Arts Award Welcome centre.

Arts Award is a nationally recognised schemeopen to all 11-25 year olds who want to develop as artists and art leaders. It is run by Arts Council England and Trinity Guildhall.

Arts Award assessors at National Museums Liverpool can assist young people and their advisors on taking the Arts Award at bronze, silver or gold level.

You can get involved through our youth volunteering programme. Or if you are taking an Arts Award through school, your youth club or any other organisation then you can use the museums for inspiration. All our events and activities are free so why not take part in them to explore the arts. Full details are on the Events and activities page.

There are lots of opportunities, for example:

  • use our any of the artists represented at the Walker Art Gallery for the bronze award part C - 'Arts Heroes and Heroines';
  • learn about artists and arts organisations through participation for silver award unit 1;
  • or it may be possible to talk to staff who work as arts professionals.

For more information please email Jo Connor.
