Find Your Talent project launch

Neil Buchanan conducts local schoolchildren at the Liverpool city region 'Find Your Talent' launch at World Museum Liverpool

The Liverpool city region Find Your Talent launch was held at World Museum Liverpool on 23 September 2008.

In preparation for the launch local artist Simon McKeown worked with three schools and colleges:

• Year 2 pupils in St Theresa's Catholic High School in St Helens,
• Year 5 and 6 pupils from Pleasant Street Primary School Liverpool and
• Year 10 pupils from Kirkby Sports College in Knowsley.

Each school was given a word from 'Find Your Talent' made up of giant letters. The young people decorated each of the giant letters with text and images relevant to that letter relating to arts and culture. At the launch they were conducted by artist and presenter Neil Buchanan. Best known for presenting 'Art Attack' from 1989 to 2007, Neil was born in Aintree, Merseyside.
