The mind map of Joseph D from Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School in Liverpool. The text reads:

"What is slavery?

Capture
During the capture the Europeans raided the people of Africa and made them into slaves. While they were there they got everyone that they could and left there are quick as they got there. After they done this they got them all and put them all on one big ship to trade for goods.

Middle Passage
The middle passage was the journey of slave trading ships from the west coast of Africa, where the slaves were obtained, across the Atlantic were they were sold or, in some cases, traded for goods such as Molasses, which was used to make into rum. But this voyage was remembered for all of the poor slaves.

Life in Americas
During this the slaves were going from country to country and getting sold and went to plantatioms. This was a terrible stage for all the slaves they were all fearing of getting sold to a bad owner and getting abused. This was a terrible stage and some were just throwing up their guts on the boat."
