Volumes 1 and 2 of 'A Guide to the Records of Merseyside Maritime Museum' are available to purchase priced £10 and £12 each, or £20 for the pair.

Volume 1 summarises our holdings of records of official organisations connected to the history of the port of Liverpool, including the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board and shipping and trade organisations, as well as the Liverpool Statutory Registers of British Merchant Ships. It also includes our substantial holdings of the records of Liverpool-based shipping companies.

Volume 2 concentrates more on the human aspect of the history of the port, covering the collections relating to merchants, shipbuilding, slavery, emigration, maritime families, maritime charities and seafarers.
