The Curzon cinema was the creation of the architect AE Shennan (he also designed the Abbey Cinema that is featured in another photograph in this online exhibition).
This night-time view of the cinema shows how the lighting enlivened its form, highlighting its many curves and tower; a modernist art deco creation, exciting and different.
