Practical Hints for Emigrants to our Australian Colonies

Liverpool 1858

Archive reference DX/507/1

The front cover of the pamphlet, it is green with an illustration of ships at sea at the bottom

There was a great deal of literature produced to encourage and advise potential emigrants. This pamphlet is rare because it contains advertising relating to the first White Star Line which went bankrupt in 1867 and whose name, flag and goodwill were bought by the founders of the later, more famous, transatlantic steamer line.
