The Merchant Navy training ship HMS Conway opened on 1 August 1859 and was moored in the Mersey for more than 80 years.
There are a number of objects related to HMS Conway in the maritime history collection. Some of the objects featured in the highlights gallery below are on permanent display in the Life at Sea gallery, others were part of a special temporary display marking the 150th anniversary of HMS Conway at the Maritime Archives and Library in 2009.
