About this object

Joseph Parry was an Able Seaman on board Lusitania when she was torpedoed.

A recognised hero of the disaster, Joseph worked alongside Leslie Morton to save over 100 survivors from the sea, and both were awarded Board of Trade medals for gallantry by King George V.
