Arthur Henry Durand

Architect and interior designer, 1875-1958

Studied architecture in Brussels 1891-93, then travelled to Paris to assist with design of the Eiffel Tower. 1897 came to London & was employed by a decoration firm until 1903 when he set up his own architecture practice. His work was seen on several White Star vessels incl Olympic and Titanic, and on the P & O Line's Mongolia. (Beveridge, Hall etc, Titanic The Ship Magnificent, 2007, Vol 2, Chapter 2).
