Jeans for Genes

Jeans in 100% Cotton

The story of cotton would not be complete without something about denim. This fun and funky fabric and its transformation from workwear to essential fashion item is celebrated in the exhibition.

As part of the exhibition, we have linked up with the Jeans for Genes Campaign. Items of denim wear on display have been signed by celebrity supporters such as former Atomic Kittens Jenny Frost and Liz McClarnon, Javine, Blazin' Squad's Kenzie and GMTV presenter Ben Shepherd.

Jeans for Genes Day is an annual event when everyone across the UK is encouraged to jump into their jeans and make a donation. The funds are used to pioneer research and provide vital support services for children affected by some of the most serious life-threatening genetic disorders.

Jeans for Genes Day 10th Birthday is on Friday 7th October 2005.
