Arrowe Hall (1835, enlarged 1844) is a stone ashlar house built in the Elizabethan style (listed Grade II). The nearby lodge dates from 1856. Photograph courtesy of Liverpool Record Office.
The land which now forms Arrowe Park was bought in pieces from 1807 by John Ralph Shaw, a shipowner and slave trader. Within the park is an area of a medieval field system, with ridges and furrows forming strips of land which were farmed. There is a sandstone boathouse adjacent to the boating lake. The golf course within the park was formed in 1931 and Arrowe Park hospital was built in 1982. Photograph of Arrowe Park and Hall courtesy of Liverpool Record Office.
